New putter, Korai grass and PGA Championship keep Rahil interested

A busy week it will be for Rahil Gangjee as he divides time between the Golf Partner Pro-Am Tournament on the Japan Golf Tour and catching up on action from the PGA Championship. It will need to be checked if the big time lag will allow Rahil time in front of the TV and absorb what goes on at the Kiawah Resort. If he is able to take time out, the focus will be on his seven picks for this week.

Watch the video to know about the men Rahil is rooting for, and among them is one who has emerged to be a big-moment player in a short span. We will be going live again this weekend for Rahil’s inputs on the year’s second Major, and if possible he will be getting  Tour buddies Scott Vincent and Shaun Norris on the show and pick their brains.

On his front, Rahil is excited to try out a spanking new putter he acquired recently. The initial reports are encouraging and he hopes the feel will lead to a tangible result this weekend. The format this week is different with a four-ball comprising two pros and as many amateurs on all four days. To be played over two golf courses on either side of the road, Rahil hopes the amateurs dish out golf that does not bog down the pros.

And yes, one of the golf courses has Korai grass which is similar to what Rahil has experienced at home. With the golf courses wide open, in view of the amateurs in the field, the pros are hoping to make use of the allowance as well.
