Confident of his craft, turning pro was always on the agenda, but not before ticking a key box. Mounting the podium is what drives an athlete and that’s what Rohan prepared for the past few years.

The win on the amateur tour took time but Rohan persevered. Using the time away from limelight to get better, he finally hit bullseye not once but twice in quick succession on the national amateur circuit in Bangalore and Noida.
Then, came the big one. Donning the India blazer, Rohan was part of the seven-member squad that teed off at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Dubai. Rohan missed cut by a shot but the learnings on a golf course that didn’t exactly suit the eye are many.

Ending 2021 as India No 1, there is little left to prove.
Qualifying school at Professional Golf Tour of India is up next, and there is an air of quiet confidence as Rohan tees off at Kalhaar Blues and Greens in a few days.
