Talk about the history surrounding the Delhi Golf Club, Jeev Milkha Singh has some going for him at The DGC Open.
Jeev will be using a hybrid he last put to use on the Japan Golf Tour 20 years ago.
What prompted the move was the windy conditions expected to prevail this week on the Lodhi Course, and after pulling it out of the closet, the first thing Jeev did was to send it to the referees to check if the club met the latest specifications.
“Over the years, a lot of rules have changed and one needed to be sure that it could be brought into play,” said Jeev.

After getting the go-ahead from the experts, Jeev gave it a try. “It feels a lot heavier. After all, I was younger in those days and could swing it a lot harder,” he laughed.
But he should be good with some more practice on Wednesday as a lot rides on that club.

Uppermost are some fond memories from the days in Japan, and which Jeev hopes will drive him this week too.
