Om Prakash Chouhan will tee off at Asian Tour’s Qualifying School, Final Stage, from Wednesday in a bid to reignite the desire to dream bigger.

But this trip to Thailand’s Lake View Resort or for that matter his late surge on PGTI, which saw him win in Jaipur, and the string of top-10s that had him finish 7th on the order of merit, would not have been possible without some intervention.

OP’s season began on a poor note last year, and a couple of broken clubs made it worse.

Based in Ahmedabad, Ragesh Vasa has tracked OP’s journey since he won the Glade One Masters in 2021, and the dip in form last year did not go unnoticed.

A spanking new golf set was made available along with practice rounds at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens. The feel player that he is, OP was quick to work on the gains.

Should he secure his playing rights in Asia this week, OP will be in prayer, acknowledging the Almighty and his benefactor in Ahmedabad.
