We will know in two days if Wednesday’s climb of 69 spots, the steepest in Round 2, to be 9 shots off the lead at 4-under 140 is good enough to make further inroads on the leaderboard of the Players Championship, but rounds like these at the Chandigarh Golf Club are always a source of immense satisfaction.

In fact, they remind the OP of his rise from the far-from-ideal practice pastures of Mhow to a pride of place in the Professional Golf Tour of India’s annals. Six wins on Tour, the last of which came just over a year back at the Glade One Masters in Ahmedabad, Wednesday could be the precursor to another big week.
