After several broken clubs, tantrums and numerous bad shots, Mohd Azhar has realised that anger isn’t a useful byproduct.

A critical component of Azhar’s progress on the PGTI over two seasons is getting a hold on himself.

No fancy mind trainers or drills, self-help it has been.

It has helped, the top-6 earlier this year and now in sole lead after 36 holes at the TATA Steel Tour Championship, Azhar will again be talking to himself to keep the pressure of climbing the leaderboard at bay.

As far as giving interviews goes, the stage fright is gone and the interactions will become frequent as he gets into contention regularly.
