Collin Morikawa builds jaw-dropping lead at Plantation Course

Collin Morikawa (1st/-24) holds the third-round lead/co-lead for the third time in his career (1-for-2 to date).

His six-shot lead at the Sentry Tournament of Champions equals the largest 54-hole lead of the season (Russell Henley/World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba) and matches the largest at the event since 1999.

Morikawa seeks first PGA TOUR victory since 2021 Open Championship and sixth career TOUR title.

Scottie Scheffler can return to World No. 1 with a tie for third with one other player or better.

Joohyung Kim carded a 68 in the third round for tied fifth place in his debut appearance.

Sungjae Im chases his third straight top-10 in the tournament following a 65 for T7. He finished T5 in 2021 and T8 last season.

Morikawa is the only player in the field bogey-free through 54 holes.

Matches the largest 54-hole lead since the Sentry Tournament of Champions moved to Kapalua in 1999 (Geoff Ogilvy/2009).

At 195, Morikawa set his low 54-hole score on TOUR (previously: 198, three times; most recent: 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii).

This is his third career 54-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR (1-for-2 to date).

Matt Fitzpatrick (T2) birdied five of his last seven holes to sit six shots off the lead; seeks second victory on TOUR (2022 U.S. Open).

Scheffler (T2) carded his seventh consecutive under-par round (69) at the event; a finish tied for third with one other player, or better, would see a return to World No. 1.

In his tournament debut, J.J. Spaun (T2) is six shots back and in search of his second career TOUR victory (2022 Valero Texas Open).

Hideki Matsuyama (T9) carded six consecutive birdies (Nos. 13-18) to mark his longest birdie streak on TOUR (previously five times; most recent: 2021 FedEx St. Jude Championship).
