Pocket dynamo Divjot Gupta was the toast of the Delhi Golf Club’s Peacock Course on Friday as he capped his amazing run to win E Boys convincingly on the final day of the Delhi Golf Society’s (DGS) NCR Cup 12th Junior Golf Tournament. With scores of 27 and 29, at the par-62 facility, Divjot’s two-day score read 6-under 56.
Divjot’s nearest competitors were Avviraj Kalia (68) and Samar Singh (74).

Chaitanya Pandey was other name to emerge from the Peacock Course with an under-par card. With identical scores of 61, Chaitanya (122) also completed a emphatic win over Aditya Misra (141) and Heydaan Bajaj (142).

As expected, Krishnav Chopraa shot under-par for third day running to complete his engagements with a total of 208 (70, 68, 70) and a wire-to-wire result. DGS Camp of Excellence student Udai Aditya Middha (81, 76, 74) came up with a much-improved final day show to claim the runner-up spot, ahead of Abhudaya Rawat who too tallied 231.
Krishnav, who heads to the US for a series of big-ticket tournaments, topped A and B Boys Combined, ahead of Kartik Singh and Udai.
Category A was dominated by the Camp of Excellence students as Zara Anand finished with a 3-under 213 to win by 10 shots over Keya Badugu. Zara also captured the A and B Girls Combined top prize.
This chapter was disappointing for Kartik Singh, but he did enough to get the top spot at 224 (74, 76, 74) in B Boys ahead of Camp of Excellence student Ranveer Mitroo (231).

Ayesha Gupta, a recent entrant to the DGS talent programme, came up with her best show on the final day, the 75 adding to the total of 228 (76, 77). There was a yawning gap between her and Apeksha David at 253.
Umed completed a start-to-finish win in the Amateur Category after shooting a last day 78. At 229, he led Md Akram, who totalled 242.
Anushka Gupta was the top name in C Girls as she had a tally of 131 (66, 65) after two days. Riddhima Singh (140) and Rehnoor Malik (142) followed.
Sohraab Singh Talwar missed out finishing under-par by a shot but his two-day total of 125 (62, 63) was enough to hand him a two-shot win in D Boys. Krishnav Gupta (127) and Dhruv Lamba (129) were the next best names.
Annika Chendira (140) and Bhuvi Srivastava (142) were in a close tussle in D Girls, but the former’s 71 on Friday swung it her way with a two-shot cushion. Abner Sengar finished at 155.
In E Girls, Amaira Gulati 68 (35, 33), Unnati Singh 70 (37, 33) and Aaradhya Rawat 71 (35, 36) made up the top three names.
