Matt NeSmith (2nd/-10) lost in a playoff two weeks ago at the ISCO Championship, his second career runner-up on TOUR.

Stewart Cink (T9/-7) makes the cut for the 505th time on the PGA TOUR, the most of any player since making his TOUR debut in 1995 and the seventh-most of any player on record (1983-present); only four other players in the field have made 500 or more starts on TOUR (Matt Kuchar, Aaron Baddeley, Charley Hoffman, Zach Johnson); Cink has four top10s in five starts on PGA TOUR Champions this season.

Neal Shipley (T42/-3) made the turn in the second round at 2-over for the tournament before carding a 5-under 30 on the front nine (his second nine) to make the cut; Shipley, who made his first TOUR start as a professional at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in June, has now made six cuts in seven starts this season (four in five as a professional), highlighted by a T6 at the ISCO Championship (MC/John Deere Classic).
