The Jaypee Greens Wish Town comes with a set of unique challenges that appeal to the competitive spirit of golfers, prompting them to turn up in large numbers at this par-68 layout.

The competition was close and keen, and after fighting it out over two days in tough conditions, Arjun Gulati emerged winner among the gentlemen with identical rounds of 69 to round off the week with a 138.

Kuldeep Singh Dhesi was a shot back at 139, built around rounds of 68 and 71. Prince Bainsla, another fast emerging name, finished third with a total of 140 (68, 72).

In the ladies section, Raza Kaur was the top name, courtesy rounds of 74 and 69 to total 143. Nora Beniwal, the winner of Event 6 at the Air Force Training Complex in Gurgaon last month, was runner-up a shot back at 144, and with rounds of 73, 71. Gauri Joshi finished next to Nora with a two-day total of 156 (73, 83).

With the season nearing closure, the competition will hot up further as the tussle to seal slots for the IGU’s national amateur tour gets keener.
