England’s Lottie Woad produced the round of the week firing a bogey-free 65 (-7) on day two to lead by two strokes at the halfway stage of the 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open.

The 21-year-old began the day in a share of second place at Dundonald Links and rolled in her first birdie on hole 14 before adding further birdies on 17 and 18.

Woad then continued her momentum on her second nine making birdies on the third, fifth, seventh and ninth holes to lead the tournament with a total of 12-under-par.
“I’m happy with that, bogey-free is always nice,” said Woad. “I was just hitting a lot of greens, a lot of fairways, and then holed a few nice putts.
“The first nine was a little bit more windy, and the back nine, it calmed down a bit, which was nice, and you could really attack some of the pins. My wedges were pretty good, same as yesterday, I laid up on most of the par-5s and still managed to make birdie on them.
“The crowd was really good, it’s nice to have people come out and watch. I’m just trying to continue the momentum. I’m trying to play well, I’ve got confidence, so I will keep on doing that.”

This week Woad is making her professional debut, having won the 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the start of July, and she had a T3 finish at the Amundi Evian Championship while still being an amateur.
However, despite having a wonderful start to professional life, the former world number one amateur believes all the experience she previously had in Major championships has helped her.

“I played in seven majors now, so I’ve had all that experience and then also the LET event too,” she continued. “It wasn’t really new; I knew how to deal with it.
“I’m just going to stick to the plan I’ve had all week, and the same strategy, and just keep trying to play well. Obviously, people will be chasing me, but just not going to change anything. I’m going to try and do what I did in Ireland.”

Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen and world number one Nelly Korda share second place with a score of 10-under-par.
The Dane began with a birdie on 10 before rolling in back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14, as well as the first and second holes.
She dropped her only shot of the day on the fourth but finished in style with another pair of back-to-back birdies on eight and nine.
