Enjoying the small joys of life like the occasional ice cream or brownie is acceptable for a pro athlete. The realisation dawned on Dhruv Sheoran after a family friend, a fitness enthusiast, succumbed to cancer. It came as a shock and with it the understanding of the uncertainties that await at every turn.
The brief binge doesn’t mean Dhruv has moved away from his target of a breakthrough PGTI.
He is in line for one as he goes into the final day of Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational five off the pace.
