Chez Reavie reaps reward of staying bogey-free at Barracuda C’ship

Only player bogey-free through 36 holes at Barracuda Championship, Chez Reavie (+28) holds his fourth 36-hole lead/co-lead on the PGA TOUR.

Henrik Norlander (T2) records career-best 36-hole position.

First-round co-leaders Mark Hubbard and Charley Hoffman sit T2 and T18, respectively.

Hoffman is one of six players who have qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs in each season since the inception in 2007; enters the week No. 182 in the standings.

Reavie mixed one eagle (No. 6), with seven birdies en route +19 points and a +3-point lead at the midway point.

Holds his fourth career 36-hole lead/co-lead on PGA TOUR; 1-for-3 to date converting to victory (2008 RBC Canadian Open).

He is a two-time TOUR winner: 2008 RBC Canadian Open, 2019 Travelers Championship.

Has reached the FedExCup Playoffs nine times, including the last six; ended the 2020-21 season No. 104 in the FedExCup.

Hubbard (T2/+25) is making sixth start at Barracuda Championship (best: T18/2017).

His best finish in 18 starts this season is solo third at last week’s Barbasol Championship; best finish in 158 TOUR starts: T2/2019 Houston Open.

At No. 92, seeks to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time since 2020 and third time overall.

In search of his first PGA TOUR victory; last six winners of the Barracuda Championship were first-time PGA TOUR winners, the longest active streak on TOUR (most recent: 2021/Erik van Rooyen)

Norlander (T2/+25) advanced to the weekend for the third time in last 15 starts, his best finish in 23 starts this season came in his first (T4/Sanderson Farms Championship).

T2 represents career-best 36-hole position (previous: 3rd/2021 AT&T Pebble Beach/T26).

Preston Stanley (T64/+7) made cut on the number to mark the only Monday qualifier to advance to the weekend after making his TOUR debut two weeks ago at the John Deere Classic (T51).
