Five of the last six winners of the RSM Classic have held the outright lead entering the final round (three via playoff).

Gooch ties the largest 54-hole lead in tournament history (all three other players went on to win: Kevin Kisner, 2015; Austin Cook, 2017; Robert Streb, 2020).

He had three missed cuts in four prior starts at the RSM Classic (T23/2019).

His career-best result on Tour: T3, 2019 Farmers Insurance Open; one first-time winner this season (Lucas Herbert, Butterfield Bermuda Championship).

Denny McCarthy (field-best 65) records career-bests in Strokes Gained: Putting (5.761) and Feet of Putts Made (157’10”).

Seamus Power and Sebastian Munoz enter the final round T2 in search of second career Tour victory; Power won the 2021 Barbasol Championship while Munoz earned his first title at the 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship.
