Gooch’s seventh score of 65 or better this season is the most on the PGA Tour (second-most: 5, Matthew Wolff). He held a share of the second-round lead at the 2020 Wyndham Championship (T25)

This is his career-low 36-hole score (129); previous: 130, twice (2018 Sony Open in Hawaii, 2020 Wyndham Championship).

He made a 66-foot, 5-inch eagle putt on No. 7 (Seaside), the longest made putt of his PGA Tour career.

He has three missed cuts in four prior starts at the RSM Classic (T23/2019).

His career-best result on the PGA Tour is T3 at the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open.

Tour rookie Taylor Moore (T4) made a hole-in-one at the par-3 17th (Seaside), the first ace of his Tour career.
