Prior to Thursday, the last time the PGA TOUR had a frost delay was at the 2023 American Express (R1); the last frost delay at the WM Phoenix Open came in 2016 (R1).

Nick Taylor (T1/-5) birdied six of his final nine holes for a 66, his best of just four rounds in the 60s at the WM Phoenix Open (25 rounds).

Is making his ninth start at the WM Phoenix Open, led by a T12 in 2017.

Xander Schauffele (T3) turned in a 4-under 67 for his sixth-consecutive opening-round score in the 60s, the current-longest active streak at the WM Phoenix Open; with five straight, Keegan Bradley (T6; -3 thru 12 holes) and Jon Rahm (T6; -3 thru 13 holes) are currently on the golf course and can join him with a round in the 60s.

Is making his 17th appearance at the event, WM ambassador Charley Hoffman (T6) recorded a 3-under 68 in bid to become the first Sponsor Exemption to win on TOUR since Martin Laird at the 2020 Shriners Children’s Open.

Rory McIlroy (T82) opened with a 2-over 73, snapping a streak of 11 straight par-or-better opening-round scores on TOUR.
