The Spanish star began the day in second place just one shot behind compatriot Carlota Ciganda at Golfcrest Country Club.
Three birdies in her final five holes saw Iturrioz surge ahead of Ciganda and England’s Charley Hull to secure her first victory since 2023.

“I’m really happy! I can’t explain my feelings. I’m really glad I have this trophy. Thank you very much for everything,” said Iturrioz. “With my caddie, we have been working a lot throughout the year, and we have been up there a couple of times, but this win is for him also.
“I was really looking forward to winning one of these PIF Global Series events. I have won as part of the Team before. It’s really special to do it here in the U.S. knowing I have been trying to get to the LPGA and knowing I can play these courses well is good.”
Iturrioz made her first birdie on the day on the third and added another on the fifth before dropping a shot on the sixth after going into the water.

The 29-year-old made a birdie on 11, but made a bogey on 13; however, she found her momentum to finish in style with birdies on 14, 15 and 17 to win with a score of 13-under-par.
“It’s been tough this year, I have been up there four times trying to win,” continued Iturrioz. “It was hard to get the win. It was great to have Charley, Mimi and Carlota pushing at the top of the leaderboard.
“Anyone here can go low. You know you have to keep going on your own game and try to do your best because if you miss, someone is going to get it. I tried to make as many birdies as I could.
“There was a leaderboard on 16, I knew I had to make birdies. I had really good chances in the last six holes apart from the bogey at 13. I knew it was there, and I took it.”

Iturrioz had caddie David Floyd on the bag and thanked him after the victory for the hard work he’s put in to helping her out on the golf course.
She added: “The biggest thing I’ve been working on is trying to get over the line. I can be quite anxious because I know I can do it, but I end up pushing too much. I like to enjoy myself and sometimes when I make a mistake, I put a lot of pressure on myself. Me and my caddie we did well with this situation.
“Dave is like my brother. He is here because we are like family. This means a lot for him and he’s been working a lot with the caddies and my coach and getting to know me on the course. This is the most emotional part of the victory.”
England’s Hull and Spain’s Ciganda ended the week in a tie for second place on 11-under-par in Houston.

Four-time LET winner Hull started off the day strong with three birdies in a row on the first, second and third holes.
She made further birdies on 10 and 14 to seal a flawless final round of 67 (-5) to finish T2 in her comeback following her ankle injury.
“I played A1 golf all day, I played really well, and I hit some nice shots coming in,” said Hull. “I made a good par on the last, I was trying to go for the putt, but it didn’t break.
“Especially with my injury and coming back, I didn’t think I’d play well this week, so I’m happy with my result. It’s not enough today, but I’m looking forward to Cincinnati next week.”
Ciganda carded a round of 71 (-1) on the final day, which included four birdies, a bogey, and a double bogey to finish on 11-under.
“I thought I played pretty good today, I was very solid tee to green,” said Ciganda. “I had a bad break on nine losing that ball. I didn’t think it was a bad drive, I hit the tree and then lost the ball, so I was unlucky.
“On the back nine, I had a good comeback with birdies on 10 and 11, but 13 and 14 was a little tough. I didn’t hit a good shot. Nuria had three birdies in the last five holes, and she played great. I’m happy for her.
“Nuria is very competitive and a great player and has that fire like all Spanish do. I’m happy for her, it’s always nice when you win.”
Singapore’s Shannon Tan finished in solo fourth place on 10-under-par after a final round of 64 (-8), which included an eagle, eight birdies and two bogeys.
“I’m quite proud of myself for how I played today,” said the two-time LET winner. “The last two days, none of my putts really dropped, but I was hitting it pretty good. I thought if I keep doing the same then some putts might drop today, and they did.
“I woke up at 4 am and it crossed my mind that I wasn’t putting well and leaving a lot short. I usually bring two putters, but I only brought one with me this trip. I thought if I could change my putter I would, but I kept hold of this one and made the best out of it.”
A trio of Frenchwoman were in a share of fifth place with Celine Boutier, Perrine Delacour, and Nastasia Nadaud all on nine-under-par.
In the LET Order of Merit, England’s Mimi Rhodes still leads and has 1,960.49 points to her name, as Singapore’s Tan jumped up to second place. With her victory, Spain’s Iturrioz climbed from 28th place to 13th and now has a total of 1,018.07 points.
