Scott Piercy’s 36-hole 129 (1st/-13) total is one stroke shy of his career-best on PGA TOUR and one stroke shy of the 3M Open tournament record.

Piercy followed his opening-round 65 with a bogey-free 64 to post 129 (-13), one stroke shy of his lowest 36-hole total on TOUR.

Three-stroke lead through 36 holes is the largest in 3M Open history (2/Bryson DeChambeau/2019).

Piercy holds a 36-hole lead/co-lead for fifth time on PGA TOUR, 1-for-4 to date converting to victory (2012 RBC Canadian Open).

His best finish in 24 TOUR starts this season: T11/Fortinet Championship.

Seeks a fifth career PGA TOUR title and first since 2018 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, partnering with Billy Horschel.

Emiliano Grillo (2nd/-10) mixed one eagle (No. 6) and one bogey (No. 13) with five birdies for his eighth round of 65 or better this season.

Making his third appearance at 3M Open (T3/2020, MC/2021), shooting 64-65—129 on the weekend en route to T3 in 2020.

Best finish this season is T2 at John Deere Classic, his lone top-10 in 25 starts.

Currently sits No. 92 in the FedExCup standings; seeks to advance to FedExCup Playoffs for the seventh time in as many seasons on TOUR.

England’s Callum Tarren (3rd/-8), a PGA TOUR rookie, who made his first cut in his 10th TOUR start, seeks his third top-10 in his 24th start (T5/2022 Puerto Rico Open, T6/2022 John Deere Classic); hit 18 of 18 greens in regulation en route bogey-free 63 (-8), bettering his career-low round on TOUR by two strokes.

Tarren joins Tom Hoge (R1) and Lee Hodges (R2) as players this week to hit 18 of 18 greens at TPC Twin Cities – in the first three years of the 3M Open (2019-2021).

Tony Finau (T4/-7), the highest ranked player in the field (No. 17 OWGR), posted 12th score in the 60s (14 rounds) at this event (72/+1/R1/2021, 70/-1/R4/2021); made his fourth start at the 3M Open (T23/2019, T3/2020, T28/2021).

Robert Streb (T4/-7) is the only player without a bogey through 36 holes.

Sungjae Im (T4/-7), who won the Shriners Children’s Open earlier this season, seeks to become the eighth player to win multiple titles this season; finished T15 in his only 3M Open start in 2019.

Sponsor exemption Chris Gotterup (T46/E), who finished T4 at the John Deere Classic three weeks ago, followed an opening round 75 with a 4-under 67 to advance to the weekend.

2021 3M Open winner, Cameron Champ (T63/+1) birdied four of his last five holes to make the cut on the number and seeks to become the fifth player to successfully defend a title this season.

58-year-old Paul Goydos (T63/+1), who won the PGA TOUR Champions 3M Championship at TPC Twin Cities in 2017, made his first cut on TOUR since 2018 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard (T69).

Kevin Chappell (T63/+1) shot 29 (-6) on his closing nine holes (front nine) to make the cut on the number and equal the 9-hole scoring record at the 3M Open.

This is the first time in tournament history that the 36-hole cut is not under par (2019/-3, 2020/-2, 2021/-2).
