India’s Shat Mishra shot a 2-under 70 to take the take the top spot on Day 1 of the 36th Orion Bangladesh Amateur Championship at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
Australia’s Aarav Shah, who practices in India, also shot a 70. There were two more under-par cards on Wednesday, home boy Liton Mondal and Korea’s Beonggu Kim carded identical 71s at the par-72 course.

In the team championship for men, Bangladesh B comprising Shafiqul Islam (72) and Liton Mondal (71) took the top spot at 143. Korea are two shot back with Gundo Park (74) and Beonggu Kim (71) the best names.
The Indian team of Arjun Singh Bhatia (74) and Manjot Singh (73) lie third at 147.
