Norway has its first FedExCup champion in Viktor Hovland

Viktor Hovland (Won/-27) earned his sixth PGA TOUR victory at the Tour Championship in his 98th start at the age of 25 years, 11 months, 9 days.

His PGA TOUR wins (6) are 2020 Puerto Rico Open, 2020 World Wide Technology Championship, 2021 World Wide Technology Championship, 2023 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, 2023 BMW Championship, 2023 TOUR Championship.

Became the third-youngest player from outside the United States with three or more wins in the same season on TOUR, joining Rory McIlroy (2012, 2014) and Hideki Matsuyama (2017).

Became the fourth player in history to win the BMW Championship and FedExCup in the same season, joining Tiger Woods (2007, 2009), Billy Horschel (2014) and Patrick Cantlay (2021).

Became the eighth player to win consecutive FedExCup Playoffs events.

Joined Jon Rahm (4) with three or more victories this season.

The last time multiple players won back-to-back events over a four-tournament span was in 1950 with Jimmy Demaret and Sam Snead (Lucas Glover: Wyndham Championship/FedEx St. Jude Championship).

Joined Henrik Stenson (2013), Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022) and Justin Rose (2018) as players from Europe to win the FedExCup.

Five strokes marks the largest margin of victory in the FedExCup Starting Strokes era.

With a final-round 7-under 63, set the tournament record for a low finish by a winner (previous: 64; Retief Goosen/2004 Rory McIlroy/2016).

Improved to 3-for-4 in converting 54-hole lead/co-lead to victory.

The 23rd 54-hole leader/co-leader to win the TOUR Championship.

The third 54-hole leader/co-leader to win the TOUR Championship since the FedExCup Starting Strokes era began in 2019.

Is the 26th 54-hole leaders/co-leaders to win an individual stroke-play event on TOUR this season.

Has qualified for TOUR Championship every year since joining the TOUR (T20/2020, T5/2021, T15/2022, won/2023).

With the win, moved from No. 5 to No. 4 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Xander Schauffele (2nd/-22), theĀ 2017 TOUR Championship winner finished runner-up for the 12th time in 161 PGA TOUR starts.

Closed with an 8-under 62, his 28th consecutive round of par or better at the TOUR Championship in as many attempts, the longest active streak.

Finished inside the top 10 in all seven starts (Won/2017, T7/2018, 2nd/2019, T2/2020, T5/2021, 4th/2022, 2nd/2023).

In his first TOUR Championship start, Wyndham Clark finished solo-third, the best performance among the five first-time participants in the field and the best finish of a player making their TOUR Championship debut since Schauffele won in 2017.
