The telltale marks of an above-average monsoon are still visible all over the National Capital Region, and the golf course at the Border Security Force (BSF) Camp in Chhawla got impacted as well, but the industrious greenkeeping staff here ensured that the course was ready to host two days of invigorating action.

Avneet reaped the rewards of shooting a level-par 72 on the opening day, and despite going over par with a 74, he came away a comfortable winner among the men with a five-shot lead, 2-over 146, over Sakshity Purandere 151 (75, 76), who has been a consistent name atop the leaderboard.

The third spot was shared by Ritik Madan (77, 76) and Parth Choudhary (75, 78) as they tied at 153, but the former finished ahead on the basis of scores.
