Khalin’s four-day total of 14-under 274 gave him a one-shot win over Arjun Sharma, who put up a valiant show in his first appearance in the leader group.

The odds were stacked against Arjun to pull it off on the final day of the Players Championship. The maiden win on Tour will have to wait a while, but it was admirable the way Arjun carried himself.

Playing the leader group for the first time, and up against a tough opponent in Khalin, Arjun fought tooth and nail to post his best finish on Tour, the sole second while soaking in the pressure.

You have every reason to be proud, young man!

As for Khalin, 2022 so far has been nothing like what he would have wanted. A top-10 on the Asian Tour, two on PGTI and a string of missed cut are just not enough for the high standards Khalin sets for himself.

So, when a W came along at the Players Championship, the relief was palpable.
