In the faraway US Virgin Islands, a piece of Mhow is playing out. Just that the players are different. In Mhow, the sleepy cantonment town in Madhya Pradesh, pro golfers Om Prakash Chouhan and Mukesh Kumar have been honing their skills for long and with a lot of success at a grazing ground in the absence of access to a facility.

Young Alexandra Swayne’s journey is slightly different. She did have access to a golf course on the island she spends time, but it got destroyed by a hurricane.

Innovation kicked in, and the rookie on the LET now practices at a field near the airport. The efforts have paid off as Alexandra has already notched a top-10 on Tour and has a 65 to show as her best tournament round.
This is on the positives; there are factors to watch out for as well. While hitting balls, care is taken not to disturb the animal life that inhabits the area, for else there could be trouble.
Alexandra has got used to the hazards, and with it has come the mindset to tee off every week with zero expectations.
Sights and sounds inspire Gaurika Bishnoi
There is a lot on for Gaurika Bishnoi going into the final day of the Hero Women’s Indian Open. Five behind, the lead can vanish in no time, considering that its the DLF Golf and Country Club, the urge to better her best finish (T13) here and the familiar settings and faces.

All of this can snowball into building pressure, but Gaurika, despite the closing bogey on Saturday, will keep doing what she’s been relishing this week. “Soaking in” the sights and sounds of the national Open’s return after the pandemic while putting her best foot forward.
