Mannat Brar, who turned professional this year after a stellar amateur career, announced her arrival on the professional stage by outduelling Vidhatri Urs in the final round of the eighth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Bangalore Golf Club. It was her first win after turning professional at the start of this season.

The 19-year-old Mannat carded her life’s best round yet as a professional as she put together 7-under 61 to vault from Tied-7th to the top as she totalled 8-under for three rounds. Her earlier two rounds were 67-68 at the Par-68 course.
The win did not come easily as Vidhatri, T5 after two rounds, also put up a great performance. Vidhatri, a winner in the past, had an eagle in her round off 5-under 63 to finish one shot behind. Mannat was 8-under and Vidhatri was 7-under at the finish.

Mannat, a former All India Amateur champion, had created history in 2024 when she became the first Indian woman to reach the semi-finals of the R&A British Girls Amateur Championship and the Round of 16 in The Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland in 2025.
Mannat also represented India at the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship, and only recently moved from Pune, where her father, an officer in the Indian Army was posted, to Panchkula.
Mannat’s maiden win as a professional makes her the sixth different winner this season, as the depth of talent on the Tour continues to produce tighter competitions and new winners.
Mannat, who began the day one behind Vidhatri, was playing in the third last group. She set the target after a brilliant day and then waited for more than half an hour as the next two groups finished.

Vidhatri, playing in the second last group, had three birdies between the 13th and the 17th to come within one stroke of Mannat. Then Vidhatri needed one more birdie on the 18th to force a play-off for the second time in two weeks, but she managed only a par.
In the final group, overnight leader amateur Zara Anand (69) had a rough start with three bogeys in the first five holes. She did rally with four birdies on the back nine, but she also gave away three bogeys. Her total of 5-under saw her finish third.
Jasmine Shekar (65) was fourth, while Lavanya Jadon (69), who started the week superbly by sharing the first-round lead with Zara, finished with a total of 4-under and ended tied fifth with Anvvi Dahhiya (67) at 3-under.
