Mind over body for summiteer Akshay Neranjen at PGTI Q-School

PGTI Q-School Akshay Neranjen - TheGolfingHub
Akshay Neranjen contracted COVID a week before PGTI's Pre-Qualifying 1, and the effects were evident in competition.

Akshay Neranjen took his first step towards a career in pro golf by tying for the top spot PGTI Pre Qualifying 1 last week in Ahmedabad.

But wading through the two rounds at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens Golf Club was more a test of mind striving to control a body weakened by a virulent virus.

The outcome was favourable for one riding recent fond memories on the golf course.

“But I recovered from COVID just a week before Q-School. As a result, I lost a bit of distance with my clubs as the body was weak. Despite that, I’m happy I performed well! Just need to work on limiting the dropped shot going ahead, ” said Akshay as he awaits fresh dates for the Final Stage which got postponed due to the surge in COVID cases in the country.
