One of the most awaited events on the calendar, the NCR Cup created a buzz again as the Delhi Golf Society rolled out the 17th edition this week.

The scene of action was AEPTA, a par-72 course in the heart of the National Capital that comes with a fair share of risks and rewards.
One of the names to thrive was Samar Baijal. Carrying on in what has been an impressive season, Samar was the only name to shoot under-par on all days with cards of 5-under 67 and 3-under 69 to top D Boys with a combined score of 8-under 136 for a three-shot win.
Shouryaveer Narain narrowly missed out on the distinction of shooting under-par on both days of competition, but his scores of 72 and 67 did allow him to finish at 5-under 139. Saket was level-par with a showing of 69 and 75.
In girls, Aaradhya Rawat 156 (80, 76) was the winner by a distance with a total of 156, and was followed by Vidushi Singh (181) and Naira Chetry (195).
Raunik Kharkwal rode a Day 2 two-under 70, which made up for Day 1’s 79 and the final day’s 75, to take the top spot among Amateur Boys with a total of 224. Om Paldhikar was next at 242 (85, 76, 81).
In Amateur Girls, Jia Kochhar mounted the podium with a 242 (79, 81, 82) for a comfortable win over Tannishtha Dhyani at 263.

After starting with a 1-over 73, Harsh Singh could have fared better, but the 77 and 81 set him back, but yet the effort was enough to get him the winner’s trophy in A Boys with a three-day total of 231. Aaron Sengar trailed four shots back at 235 with scores of 78, 77, 80.
In girls in this category, Henaaz Khera topped with 232 (74, 79, 79) and edged out Jasmandeep Kaur by a shot with scores of 81, 79, 73.
Henaaz also topped A and B Girls Combined, and was followed by Jasmandeep and Rashi.
Sakshity Pureandre scaled the summit in B Boys by putting together scores of 78, 72, 75 for a total of 225. He was followed by Neehar Gururani and Smyaan Gupta at 238.
It was double joy for Sakshity with the A and B Boys Combined trophy going to him as well. Harsh Singh and Aaron Sengar were next.
Rashi (233) and Mehak Lohan (244) made up the top-two spots in B Girls will 11 shots separating them.
As per the norm, it was a two-day event for C Boys, and Aditya Misra notched scores of 80 and 77 for a total of 157. He won by 10 shots over the duo of Aadyot Gupta and Digvijay Singh (167). On account of a better Day 2 score, Aadyot finished ahead of Digvijay.

C Girls threw up an exciting result with Deepika Tomar and Dalisha Chetry finishing tied at 169, and the former prevailing in the playoff. Divija Rao took the third spot with a score of 175.
Taanush Kumar was another standout name with rounds of 37 and 36 over two days and 18 holes to take the stop spot in E Boys with a score of 1-over 73. Low scores were a feature in this group with Samar Singh 76 (41, 35) and Leyan Pal 79 (40, 39) making up the top three.
Aadya Dayal shot an identical 40 over two days to win by a shot over Dhriti Singh 81 (40, 41). In fact, a shot separated the top names as Aahana Shrivastava trailed Dhriti by a shot at 82 with identical 41s.
