Sagar Mehto and Shat Mishra shot the day’s best card of 3-over 75 on the opening day of the Delhi Golf Society’s (DGS) NCR Cup – 8th Junior Tournament, supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, at AEPTA, a par-72 venue, at Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan.

The duo leads Category ‘A’ and by a shot over Sukhman Singh (76), a part of of DGS’ camp of excellence, which is supported by the Container Corporation of India. Yash Chaudhary is next at 6-over 78.

In ‘B’ Boys, Kanav Chauhan was the top name in the three-day WAGR event with an opening day card of 4-over 76. Ranveer Mitroo of the DGS camp of excellence followed three shots back at 79. Aman Sharma shot a 9-over 81 to lie third. Udai Aditya Middha, another DGS camp of excellence member, is fourth at 83.
Riya Jadon took the early lead in ‘A’ and ‘B’ girls with an opening card of 11-over 83. She is followed by Aditi Bhardwaj and Alysha Dutt (both on 86) and Sarah Solanki at 93.
In the Amateur section, Deepak Yadav worked up a useful four-shot lead at 4-over 76 over Arin Ahuja (80). Chandan Kumar Yadav and Rohan Galhotra come next at 83.
