ICC Women’s World Cup 2022: Mithali Raj to lead 21-member Indian squad

Seasoned batter Mithali Raj will lead a 21-strong Indian squad at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022. The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday confirmed that the veteran batter will also be the captain for five One Day Internationals in New Zealand.

Harmanpreet Kaur has been named the vice-captain. The Punjab girl will, however, will lead the team on the one-off T20 International against hosts New Zealand.

 The All-India Women’s Selection Committee on Wednesday picked the squad for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.

India will play their first World Cup fixture against Pakistan on March 6, 2022 at the Bay Oval, Tauranga. The squad will also feature in the 5-match ODI series against New Zealand. The bilateral series will start from 11 February, 2022.
