The IPL Auction 2022 gives Mumbai Indians to revamp their team with fresh faces to keep up the momentum, along with the old hands they have retained. There were really no surprises in the manner in which Mumbai Indians planned their retentions ahead of the IPL 2022 Auction, to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

Skipper Rohit Sharma was there, as expected, as was West Indian big man Kieron Pollard. With their surfeit of riches, one would have thought that MI would have a difficult time in deciding which players to retain, but as it turned out, there were no real mysteries in their plans.

Rohit Sharma (Rs. 16 crore)
Jasprit Bumrah (Rs. 12 crore)
Suryakumar Yadav (Rs. 8 crore)
Kieron Pollard (Rs. 6 crore)
Total spend: Rs 42 crore
Balance Purse: Rs 48 crore
Mumbai Indians will now be able to bid for 21 players in the IPL Auction 2022, with seven slots left for overseas players. One of the strongest sides in the business, MI will surely come out with another telling combination.
