Daniel Berger (1st, -10) made it the second occasion to open a PGA Tour event with consecutive scores of 65 or better (2015 BMW Championship/2nd).

Hit 14-of-18 greens in regulation for the second straight day and sank a total of 123’ 7” putts in round two (88’ 6”/R1).

Seeks a third top-10 finish in his seventh Honda Classic start (2nd/2015, T4/2020); WD before round one in 2021 (injury).

Seeks a fifth career Tour title (2016 FedEx St. Jude Classic, 2017 FedEx St. Jude Classic, 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge, 2021 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am).

One top-10 in three starts this season (T5/Sentry Tournament of Champions); comes off a missed cut in his most recent start (WM Phoenix Open).

Chase Seiffert (T6/-5) coming off his career-best finish on TOUR at last year’s Honda Classic (T3), offset two bogeys with six birdies to post a 4-under 66.

Ended last season No. 138 in the FedExCup standings, earning limited status for this season.

Failed to advance from the 16-for-1 playoff at the Open Qualifier.

Got in as the last man in the field when Tyler Duncan withdrew on Tuesday.

For the second day in a row, made birdie at No. 9 after approach shots to within three feet of the hole (2’ 8”/R1, 2’ 9”/R2).

Seeking his first Honda Classic top-10 finish in his 11th start, Chris Kirk (T2/-7) made four birdies against two bogeys for a 2-under 68; best finish is T12/2014; in search of a fifth career Tour title and first since the 2015 Charles Schwab Challenge.

First-year Tour member Kurt Kitayama (T2/-7) followed a career-low 6-under 64 in round one with a 69 in Friday’s second round; in only previous Honda Classic start, finished T47 as a sponsor exemption in 2020; best TOUR finish in 25 starts is T17/2017 Puerto Rico Open.

Mark Hubbard (T4/-6) followed an even-par 70 in round one with a 64 in round two, one stroke shy of his career-low; best finish in five previous Honda Classic starts was T11/2020; best finish in 146 TOUR starts was T2/2019 Houston Open.

En route to a 5-under 65, Adam Svensson (T4/-6) becomes just the second player to hit all 18 greens in regulation in a round at The Honda Classic since the event moved to PGA National in 2007 (Cody Gribble/R1/2017).

Following his win at last week’s Genesis Invitational, Joaquin Niemann missed the cut with scores of 70-73—143/+3.
