Ever since Yashas Chandra can remember, spectacles have been a part of him on the golf course.
Not anymore, and the Mysuru lad, who practices at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club, is loving the break from the past, enamoured as he is by the new-found clarity.
No longer does he have to stand away as now the eyeline is over the ball, and the body orientation is better as is his ability to read the line.

The gains are showing up as he has had a top-6 at the Players Championship in Chandigarh this season.
There are other strong results on the Professional Golf Tour of India since the Tour restarted in November last only to get stalled in March after the second wave of the pandemic swept across the country.
Had it not been for the first wave last year, which delayed the Lasik surgery, Yashas would have liked to ease into his schedule following recuperation.
But things went into an overdrive with the announcement PGTI’s resumption in early November.
He did not mind the rush now that the going’s been good on the golf course, and as it goes, there is a time for everything.
