The stakes might be different across amateur and pro ranks, but the exhilaration of a breakthrough victory transcends boundaries. The nervous walk to the 18th green, the flutter in the stomach while lining the final putt and the euphoria after it’s all done. We commence our new series with @aryan_roopa_anand.
“Although I had won the week before, my breakthrough win came at the 2019 All India Amateur Championship. It is a gruelling event with a stroke play and a match play format, testing both physical and mental endurance. After winning the stroke play event at 9 under par I thought that I could create history by winning the match play section as well. I played my heart out that week, coming back from behind on many occasions and that’s what made the victory so special.
