Barbasol C’ship lead in sync with Adam Svesson’s run this season

Adam Svensson (1st/-15) matched the best 36-hole score at the Barbasol Championship since the event relocated to Kentucky in 2018.

Of players who completed 36 holes, Dylan Wu (-11) is the only player bogey free.

The winner of the Barbasol Championship will earn a spot in the field at The Open Championship next week.

Svensson’s 15-under 129 matched Troy Merritt (2018) for the best 36-hole score at the
Barbasol Championship since the event relocated to Keene Trace GC in 2018.

Finished 167th in the FedExCup as a PGA TOUR rookie in 2018-19 season and failed to regain his card for the 2019-20 season. Returned to the PGA TOUR for the 2021-22 season after winning twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in the expanded 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour season.

Mark Hubbard (-12), whose lone bogey came at his 34th hole, is making his fourth appearance at Barbasol Championship, improving his position each time (MC/2015, T42/2017, T20/2021).

Frenchman Robin Roussel (-12) made his PGA TOUR debut this week; lone top-25 on DP World Tour is T18/2020 Oman Open; lone made cut in 10 official DP World Tour starts this season is T69/Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

Brandon Hagy (-12) fired a 10-under 62, equaling his career-low round on TOUR (R2/2021 Honda Classic). He holed a 148-yard gap wedge from the rough for an eagle-2 on No. 18 (his ninth) before playing his final six holes in 5-under, including a chip-in for birdie on No. 9.

Sean O’Hair (-11) finished eagle-par-birdie-birdie to shoot 65, his lowest round on TOUR since 65 in Round 3 of 2021 John Deere Classic. The four-time TOUR winner seeks his first title since 2011 RBC Canadian Open while playing out of Past Champion category this season.

Kramer Hickok (-11) holed 191 feet, 11 inches of putts in the second round, more than double the total amount he holed in Round One (87’ 2”); sat T3 at 12-under through 36 holes in his only other appearance at this event, eventually finishing T24 in 2019.

Germany’s Yannik Paul (-11) is making his second PGA TOUR start (MC/2022 U.S. Open); made nine cuts in 11 DP World Tour starts this season with T10 at the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain his lone top-10 result. His twin brother, Jeremy, plays on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Jason Dufner (-10), the lone Major championship winner in the field this week (2013 PGA Championship), seeks his sixth TOUR title in his 401st start.
