Cameron Tringale the man to mark at Scottish Open

A day following a career-best 61, Cameron Tringale (1st/-7) maintained a three-shot lead following a 2-over 72 at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Tringale ranks No. 109 on the career money list on the PGA TOUR, the highest position by a player without a victory.

He has the most starts (332) without a win of any player on TOUR since 2009 (Ricky Barnes is second on the list with 306).

He owns four runner-up finishes on TOUR, most recently at the 2021 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP.

Gary Woodland (T2) is making his 68th start since the last of his four PGA TOUR victories (2019 U.S. Open).

Doug Ghim (T2) owns two top-10 finishes in 79 prior TOUR starts, including a T6 at this season’s PLAYERS Championship (T5/2021 American Express).

2022 Travelers Championship winner Xander Schauffele (T4) posted the round of the day with a 5-under 65.

Despite bogeys on his final two holes, reigning U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick (T4) posted 4-under 66; has been inside the top 10 on the leaderboard in 15 of his last 19 rounds on TOUR.

With his ace on the par-3 17th hole, Jordan Smith (T4) won a Genesis GV70; his caddie, Sam Matton, receives a GV60.

A week prior to his title defense at The Open Championship, Collin Morikawa missed cut with rounds of 71-74. Additional notables to miss cut were defending champion Min Woo Lee, Justin Thomas, Will Zalatoris, Hideki Matsuyama, Viktor Hovland.

World No. 1 and FedExCup leader Scottie Scheffler (73-72) missed cut for just the third time in 21 starts this season.

Thomas Bjorn was disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.
