Sebastian Munoz offset two bogeys with six birdies to post a 4-under 67 on Day 3 of the John Deere Classic on Saturday. He took his third 54-hole lead/co-lead on the PGA Tour after the 2017 A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier/T3, and 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship/won (for a lone Tour victory).

His two previous John Deere Classic starts are MC/2017, T37/2019.

His three top-10 finishes in 27 starts this season are THE CJ CUP @ SHADOW CREEK/9th, Valero Texas Open/T9, Charles Schwab Challenge/T3.

Munoz came into this week off missed cuts in three of his last four starts. He finished T67 at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic.

At 15-under 198 and a shot off Munoz, Brandon Hagy looks to become the fourth consecutive player to make the John Deere Classic his first Tour title.

Scott Brown (T3/-14) made six birdies in a seven-hole stretch (Nos. 9-11 and 13-15) and nine total en route to an 8-under 63. A career-low round of 10-under 61 came in Round 3 of the 2014 John Deere Classic (T5).

The John Deere Classic is the final event of The Open Qualifying Series USA, offering one spot to the leading player (not otherwise exempt) who finishes among the top five and ties; in the event of a tie, the exemption would go to the player who came into the week higher in the Official World Golf Ranking.
