It was five months away from golf, but Angad is happy to report that for the third week running the shoulder is holding and the biggest gain this big week of the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational is that the start on his home course is encouraging as he placed himself in the mix.

Chikkarangappa S did not like the idea when his team came to a consensus that he needed to put on weight.

This was at the start of the year, and despite the apprehension, he went ahead. What drove him was, “If you are uncomfortable, it means you are on the right track.”

It’s still work in progress but the effects are being felt. The recent week in Taiwan was one, and the latest one on show is Day 1 at the Chandigarh Golf Club, where Chikka is tied for the lead following a flawless 65.
